Each woman menstrual cycle has three phases: follicular phase, ovulation phase, and luteal phase. The follicular phase begins with the start of menstruation and ends with ovulation. The main hormone controlling the follicular phase is estrogen hormone.
When a woman is about to ovulate, the estrogen hormone levels in her system will have an apparent rise. With this rise of the estrogen hormone, the concentration of electrolytes in the saliva becomes intense.
